This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) describes the rules governing the use of Sweego.
By accessing or using our services (API, dashboard, webhooks, or any related functionality), you agree to comply with this Policy.
Sweego reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account violating these rules.


1. Purpose

Sweego enables the sending of transactional and marketing emails and SMS messages in compliance with applicable laws and industry best practices.
This Policy aims to ensure responsible use of our platform and to protect the reputation of our infrastructure, our customers, and end recipients.


2. Prohibited Uses

You may not use Sweego to:

a. Spam, Fraud, and Abuse

  • Send unsolicited messages (spam), including cold emails, or messages to purchased, rented, or harvested lists.
  • Misrepresent or falsify sender identity (e.g., “From” address or headers).
  • Impersonate another person, brand, or organization.
  • Engage in phishing, scams, or fraudulent collection of personal data.
  • Abuse or probe the service for spam, phishing, or attack purposes.
  • Use Sweego as an open relay, proxy, or to bypass filtering systems.

b. Illegal or Harmful Content

You may not send content that promotes or involves:

  • Illegal activities (fraud, counterfeiting, hacking, drugs, weapons, etc.).
  • Financial scams, pyramid schemes, or deceptive investment offers.
  • Malware, phishing links, ransomware, exploits, or other harmful code.
  • Misleading content (clickbait, false promises, guaranteed results, etc.).

c. Data Protection and Privacy

  • You may not collect, process, or transmit personal data without a legal basis and explicit consent.
  • You must comply with GDPR and any applicable data protection law.
  • Sweego may suspend your sending privileges if repeated abuse or complaints occur.

3. Required Best Practices

To ensure optimal deliverability and compliance, you must:

  • Provide a clear unsubscribe link in all marketing and newsletter emails.
  • Maintain low complaint, bounce, and unsubscribe rates.
  • Follow ISP and messaging provider anti-spam policies.
  • Keep your contact lists updated and remove invalid addresses.

4. Security and Service Integrity

You must not:

  • Probe, scan, or test the security of Sweego without written authorization.
  • Interfere with normal platform operations (DDoS, excessive load, abusive scripts).
  • Use another party’s credentials (API keys, tokens) without permission.

5. Abusive Account Usage

Creating or using one or more accounts to circumvent Sweego’s quotas, limits, or usage restrictions (such as sending or pricing thresholds) is strictly prohibited.

Automated account creation or usage (via scripts, bots, or similar mechanisms) is also forbidden.

Sweego reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account involved in such practices, including related accounts.


6. Compliance with Local Laws

You are solely responsible for ensuring your messages comply with all applicable laws in the jurisdictions where you operate or target recipients, including:

  • GDPR (European Union)
  • CAN-SPAM Act (United States)
  • ePrivacy Directive or equivalent national legislation

7. Enforcement

Sweego may:

  • Suspend or terminate any account found in violation of this Policy.
  • Block or delete non-compliant messages.
  • Report illegal activities to the relevant authorities.

Sweego may also restrict sending if your behavior harms the reputation of shared IPs or domains.
